Whether the bowlers won a medal/trophy or not and even if they did not get into the State Team, they all tried their best and we should be proud of the attitude, comradery and fair play by the Rockets.

Maitland

Well, some of us headed up to Maitland last weekend for a "fun-filled day of bowling".

Yup.

The StatsMan (as usual) came through and provided us with some numbers. Results aren't final yet (like who got what medals), but that's not the important part.vWhat's important is how well the bowlers do against their averages.

Bowlers attended: Adam, Amy, Angela, Ben, Candice, Karina, Natham, Tim and  Warren. Some notable numbers

SINGLES
Tim                  32 pins over average for the series
Karina              16 pins over average for the series

DOUBLES
Warren             28 pins over average for the series
Tim                  24 pins over average for the series
Candice            17 pins over average for the series

TEAMS
Natham             15 pins over average for the series
Adam                Turkey in a game of 191 (That's just showing off, Adam.)

When medal results are available, I'll pass that on to you all.

2017 Nationals - Day Six [MASTERS]

It wasn't enough that Natham (our in-house StatsMan) bowled a 52 over average on Day Five; he went out and won the Restricted Masters on Day Six.

He was placed in first position from the moment the 1st game ended and did not look back!

He played 8 games in succession scoring 150, 177, 178, 150, 141,140,163 and 169 averaging 158.5 (his entering average was 111).

Natham then had a playoff with the bowler who was in 2nd place and scored at 160 beating the opposition by 11 pins. Natham ended up with an average of 160.0.  In total he knocked down 2140 pins today.

Details can be found here.

Overall, he has played 42 games for the competition and now is having a well deserved rest.
