WHAT A CHALLENGE NIGHT!

Last Friday was our annual Hornsby Rockets Challenge Night, and the place was packed. Many thanks to our sponsors and patrons who showed up in force to compete.

In addition to the camaraderie on the night, we used it to raise a bit of additional funds.

But more on that a bit later.

The winners this year were:

1st place = Mixed Probus - Heather Thomlinson, Keith Carson, Ken Cooper and Ted Tyler

2nd place = Ben's Bunch - Ben Barber, Mike Spratt, Declan O'Connor and Ron Crompton

3rd place = MC's - Emma Matthews, Amy McFadden, Natham Constable and Adam Mandarano

Well done all of you, and best of luck to the others next year.

On the fundraising front,

In addition to the team fees collected we raised $66 in the lolly jar guessing competition (I didn't win, despite my scientific methods) and $347.65 in the raffle (and loose change donations). The overall profit on the night was $1296.05

Thanks everybody!

On the night one of our patrons, Matt Keane, Member for Hornsby, brought along a symbolic cheque for $2,000 representing the NSW Sports and Rec grant recently awarded to Hornsby Rockets. Many thanks, Matt.

Thanks again, everybody, and practice up for next year!

Nationals T-shirts

Many thanks to Peter Cowie of Westleigh Chiropractic for his donation of T-Shirts for the nationals squad. I'm sure we'll all look great in them.

And the back (note that only Amy will get a shirt that says Amy. You will have your name on the shirt ;)

Thanks Peter!

Wrinkle-Free Fundraising Event

Thank you...

...to Sonia Weber for organising and holding this event at her house as a fundraiser for the Hornsby Rockets.  A lot of hard work was put in by Sonia not to mention the generous donation of the gifts for the raffle prizes.  Sonia also provided the food and drinks for this event.  The ladies that attended enjoyed a relaxing mask (you can wear it while you are doing other things around the home).  After the mask was removed we applied a serum and then a moisturiser which was very light and quickly absorbed.

No need for a facelift or botox when these products are available. The Instantly Ageless was magic seeing wrinkles disappear within minutes and lasts for 8 hours!!

To top the afternoon off we also sampled a sachet of Reserve which is a blend of superfruits containing a powerhouse of antioxidants which works as a defense against free radical damage.  Taking one sachet a day costs only $3.00 (less than a cup of coffee) but much much better for you.

Please visit Sonia's website for more information at https://soniassecret.jeunesseglobal.com/en-AU/ or contact her at sonia@dancelikeanegyptian.net.

Sonia also comes to bowling to watch Sasha most Saturday so you can also speak with her there.

We had $185 generously donated to this event (thank's to Sonia kicking butt with her networking!!) and the raffle made $247 so a total of $432 was raised for the Hornsby Rockets.

The winners of the raffle were:
1st Prize - Jeunesse Cleanser, Serum and Night Repair Cream (RRP $392) went to Jitha (Red ticket C016)
2nd Prize - Box of Reserve (RRP $173) went to Leonie Bank (Red ticket B020)

3rd Prize - Instantly Ageless (RRP $107) went to Kristen Budd (Black ticket B76)

A great turnout...
