Perth - here we come! 2010 Nationals

The 2010 National Disability Bowling Championships are going to be held in Perth WA in May/June 2010. Hornsby Rockets will be fielding a team.

We are looking at arriving Saturday 29th May and departing Saturday 5th June.

In order for us to be able to book the accommodation that we want and the air fares at a reasonable price we will need to know if you are interested in coming.

An expression of interest form with some rough cost estimates was handed out at bowling yesterday (24th October) - check with your bowler if you haven't seen it yet!

Expressions of interest need to be returned by 28th November at the latest so that we can finalise bookings and the cost.

Thanks!

Supper at Michel's

On 29th August, some of the Hornsby Rockets and families enjoyed supper at Michel's Patisserie, at Berowra Heights. It's good just to get together sometimes. Our thanks to Les Abboud and his staff for making this evening available., and for delicious food and drinks.

...... the owner (of Michel's) Les Abboud who opened his café especially for the Rockets. The night was a great opportunity for the Rockets to catch up & talk about the future of the team,
which has recently had great success in recent competitions.

President Ron Crompton said, “It is thanks to people like Les from Michels Berowra, along with other Berowra Village business people, who have given great support to the Hornsby Rockets, as well as companies like Building Code & Bushfire Hazard’s Solutions & community groups like Berowra Rotary, Berowra Lions Club & Berowra Probus Club. Without their support the Rockets would not have been able to be involved in some of the sporting activities over the last twelve months.”
